Woodmoor is a census-designated place and community in El Paso County, Colorado bound by covenants governed by the Woodmoor Improvement Association (http://www.woodmoor.org/). Civil government is under the jurisdiction of the county. As of the 2000 census, it had a total population of 7,177.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the community has a total area of 16.5 km² (6.4 mi²). 16.4 km² (6.3 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.78% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 7,177 people, 2,374 households, and 2,160 families residing in the community. The population density is 437.1/km² (1,131.2/mi²). There are 2,427 housing units at an average density of 147.8/km² (382.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the community is 94.86% White, 0.74% African American, 0.33% Native American, 1.64% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.61% from other races, and 1.78% from two or more races. 2.80% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 2,374 households out of which 46.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 85.9% are married couples living together, 3.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 9.0% are non-families. 7.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 1.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.02 the average fand aamily size is 3.17.
In the community the population is spread out with 31.0% under the age of 18, 4.4% from 18 to 24, 25.1% from 25 to 44, 31.8% from 45 to 64, and 7.7% who are 65 years of age or older.
