Windsor is an unincorporated area located in Dane County, Wisconsin. As of the 2000 census, the area had a total population of 2,533. It is a census-designated place (CDP) for statistical purposes. The area is within the Town of Windsor, although the area had been part of a disputed annexation with the Village of DeForest. In July 2004 the town and village reached a settlement where some of the area in the CDP has been annexed to the city and some remains with the town.

Windsor is located at 43°13'1" North, 89°20'39" West (43.217201, -89.344434)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 8.2 km² (3.2 mi²). 8.2 km² (3.2 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.63% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 2,533 people, 945 households, and 746 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 308.5/km² (800.2/mi²). There are 978 housing units at an average density of 119.1/km² (309.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 96.13% White, 0.51% Black or African American, 0.36% Native American, 1.18% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.59% from other races, and 1.22% from two or more races. 1.46% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 945 households out of which 38.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.0% are married couples living together, 8.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 21.0% are non-families. 13.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 3.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.67 and the average family size is 2.95.
In the CDP the population is spread out with 27.0% under the age of 18, 6.8% from 18 to 24, 32.3% from 25 to 44, 27.0% from 45 to 64, and 6.8% who are 65 years of age or older.
