Willow Creek is a census-designated place located in Humboldt County, California. The town of Willow Creek sits along the Trinity River. It is the self-styled Bigfoot Capital of the World, and holds an annual festival in honor of the creature. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 1,743.

Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,743 people, 772 households, and 481 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 3.3/km² (8.5/mi²). There are 1,099 housing units at an average density of 2.1/km² (5.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 81.81% White, 0.52% Black or African American, 9.52% Native American, 0.57% Asian, 0.34% Pacific Islander, 1.43% from other races, and 5.79% from two or more races. 5.57% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 772 households out of which 24.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.9% are married couples living together, 8.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 37.6% are non-families. 31.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.26 and the average family size is 2.81.
