William Sinclair, 1st Earl of Caithness

William Sinclair, 1st Earl of Caithness, 3rd Earl of Orkney, Baron of Roslin (1410-1484) was a Scottish nobleman and the builder of Rosslyn Chapel. He was the grandson of Scottish explorer Henry Sinclair, 1st Earl of Orkney. He was Lord Chancellor of Scotland from 1454 to 1456.
