Wilhelm Murg

Wilhelm Murg (born 1961) is an Osage Nation and Cherokee journalist, critic, fiction writer and editor. Born in California, he moved to Oklahoma with his family in 1965. He was editor of the University of Tulsa literary journal, Zonyx (1982-1984), founding editor of Cool & Strange Music! magazine, and managing editor of the Tulsa Alternative Magazines Outline Magazine and Infinity Press. Has also written for Indian Country Today, Native American Times, Native Peoples Magazine, Lakota Journal, News from Indian Country, High Times Magazine, Tulsa Cityscape, Tulsa Independent, Night Shift Magazine and the Oklahoma Eagle.
Mr. Murg writes a wide range of cultural topics; the arts, music, literature, and politics, and usually spotlights Native American artists who work in the avant-garde and experimental fields. His non-Native interview subjects often come out of the cutting edge of mainstream culture.
He is also a noted author of the erotic with the nom-de-plume Father Batchange.
