Whitesboro is a village located in Oneida County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 3,943. The village is named after Hugh White, an early settler.
The Village of Whitesboro is inside the Town of Whitestown.

The village was incorporated in 1813.
Geography
Whitesboro is located at 43°7'27" North, 75°17'46" West (43.124269, -75.296187)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.8 km² (1.1 mi²). 2.8 km² (1.1 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 3,943 people, 1,778 households, and 992 families residing in the village. The population density is 1,422.8/km² (3,675.4/mi²). There are 1,921 housing units at an average density of 693.2/km² (1,790.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.69% White, 0.53% African American, 0.03% Native American, 0.33% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.53% from other races, and 0.89% from two or more races. 1.47% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,778 households out of which 27.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 36.9% are married couples living together, 15.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 44.2% are non-families. 39.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 18.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.21 and the average family size is 2.98.
In the village the population is spread out with 23.3% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 31.7% from 25 to 44, 20.3% from 45 to 64, and 17.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 37 years. For every 100 females there are 86.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 81.2 males.
The median income for a household in the village is $31,947, and the median income for a family is $42,741. Males have a median income of $29,408 versus $25,865 for females. The per capita income for the village is $17,386. 13.5% of the population and 12.5% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 23.2% of those under the age of 18 and 18.3% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
