Westmannia

Westmannia, or Västmanland, is a historical Province or landskap in middle Sweden. It borders to Sudermannia, Nericia, Wermelandia, Dalecarlia and Uplandia.

Westmannia is divided upon Västmanland County, occupying the eastern half and Örebro County, which is claiming the western half.
History

Western Västmanland traditionally belonged to the mining district of Bergslagen.

Westmannia was historically divided into chartered cities and districts. Within Bergslagen they were called mountain districts, and in the rest of the province hundreds.

Arms granted in 1560. The arms is represented with a dukal coronet. Blazon: "Argent, in base tripple Mount Azure issuant from each Flames Gules."

Since 1772, Swedish Princes have been created Dukes of various provinces. This is solely a nominal title.
