West Wenatchee is a census-designated place located in Chelan County, Washington. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 1,681.
Geography
West Wenatchee is located at 47°26'16" North, 120°20'46" West (47.437855, -120.346030)Template:GR.According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 10.7 km² (4.1 mi²). 10.2 km² (4.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 4.36% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,681 people, 628 households, and 509 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 164.3/km² (425.4/mi²). There are 661 housing units at an average density of 64.6/km² (167.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 93.75% White, 0.18% African American, 0.24% Native American, 1.07% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 3.45% from other races, and 1.25% from two or more races. 8.09% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 628 households out of which 32.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.7% are married couples living together, 7.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 18.9% are non-families. 14.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.67 and the average family size is 2.94.
