West Menlo Park is a census-designated place and an unincorporated community in San Mateo County, California, adjacent to Menlo Park, Atherton, Sharon Heights and Stanford University. As of the 2000 census, the community had a population of 3,629. It consists of suburban housing and a small business district along Alameda de las Pulgas.

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 3,629 people, 1,420 households, and 955 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 2,802.3/km² (7,299.8/mi²). There are 1,451 housing units at an average density of 1,120.5/km² (2,918.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 87.46% White, 0.91% African American, 0.19% Native American, 7.25% Asian, 0.11% Pacific Islander, 0.94% from other races, and 3.14% from two or more races. 4.46% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,420 households out of which 34.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.6% are married couples living together, 7.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 32.7% are non-families. 25.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.55 and the average family size is 3.04.
