West Lebanon, New Hampshire
|
West Lebanon, New Hampshire, is a small village (pop. approx 2,500) within the city of Lebanon on the Connecticut River. The town is a regional shopping center as well as containing the regional Airport.
The town was at one point an important rail hub, although at that time it went by the name of Westboro. By the 1950s, however, the rail industry had shrunken significantly and the town of White River Junction, Vermont, across the river took most of the remaining services, and the rail service through West Lebanon was terminated.Template:US-northeast-geo-stub
