Wesley Bolin

Wesley Bolin (1 July 1909–4 March 1978) served as governor of the U.S. state of Arizona between 1977 and 1978. He succeeded to the governorship after Raul Castro was appointed as Ambassador to Argentina. Bolin was Secretary of State for Arizona from 1955 until the resignation of his predecessor. He died in office in 1978 and was succeeded by Bruce Babbitt. The Wesley Bolin Plaza in Phoenix, Arizona was named after him.
