Warwick is a town located in Orange County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 30,764.
The Town of Warwick is located in the southwest part of the county. The town contains a village also named Warwick.

History
The region has been referred to as Warwick since the early 18th Century. The Town of Warwick was created in 1788.
Geography
The south town line is the border of New Jersey.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 271.6 km² (104.9 mi²). 263.3 km² (101.7 mi²) of it is land and 8.3 km² (3.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.04% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 30,764 people, 10,868 households, and 7,955 families residing in the town. The population density is 116.8/km² (302.6/mi²). There are 11,818 housing units at an average density of 44.9/km² (116.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 91.06% White, 4.51% Black or African American, 0.31% Native American, 0.85% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 1.60% from other races, and 1.61% from two or more races. 6.47% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 10,868 households out of which 38.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.7% are married couples living together, 8.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 26.8% are non-families. 22.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.74 and the average family size is 3.25.
In the town the population is spread out with 27.2% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 31.3% from 25 to 44, 24.6% from 45 to 64, and 11.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 38 years. For every 100 females there are 100.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 98.2 males.
The median income for a household in the town is $61,094, and the median income for a family is $71,074. Males have a median income of $50,891 versus $36,538 for females. The per capita income for the town is $25,409. 4.7% of the population and 3.2% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 3.9% of those under the age of 18 and 7.0% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
