Warthog Games Limited was a UK-based video game developer, it is now known as Gizmondo Europe. Located in Cheadle, near Manchester with studios in Sweden and the USA.

Company Origins
Warthog was founded in April 1997 and the core of the development team comprise ex-Electronic Arts personnel responsible for, amongst titles, the hit Privateer: The Darkening. With this as the basis, Warthog began to develop something of a speciality in space flight sims with follow-up titles Starlancer (which sold over 330,000 units, mainly on PC) and Star Trek: Invasion (achieving over 230,000 units on PlayStation). Since 1999, the Company has also developed expertise in children's titles, with releases including Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes, Harry Potter and Asterix.
During the creation of the company, Warthog has purchased several companies. First, in 2002 they purchased 42-Bit, which has become Warthog Sweden. Then in 2003, they purchased the US based company, Fever Pitch, which then became Warthog Texas.
However, during 2004, Warthog would be purchased by Tiger Telematics and would become apart of Gizmondo Studios, becoming known as Gizmondo Europe. Their focus from then on would be for the Gizmondo handheld console. See Gizmondo for further game information.
