According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 18.5 km² (7.1 mi²). 18.2 km² (7.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.40% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 4,567 people, 1,655 households, and 1,189 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 250.5/km² (648.6/mi²). There are 1,758 housing units at an average density of 96.4/km² (249.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 39.85% White, 0.39% African American, 0.44% Native American, 24.26% Asian, 7.90% Pacific Islander, 1.01% from other races, and 26.14% from two or more races. 8.82% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,655 households out of which 35.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.6% are married couples living together, 10.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.1% are non-families. 19.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.72 and the average family size is 3.14.
In the CDP the population is spread out with 26.3% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 26.7% from 25 to 44, 32.0% from 45 to 64, and 8.8% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 101.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 99.6 males.
