Violator is Depeche Mode's seventh full-length album. It was released by Mute Records on February 1 1990. The album is notable for propelling the band into stardom with the hits "Personal Jesus" and "Enjoy the Silence" and is seen by many fans as the third in the band's triptych of top albums.
