Ventnor City is a Walsh Act city located in Atlantic County, New Jersey. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 12,910.

Ventnor City is located at 39°20'32" North, 74°28'55" West (39.342299, -74.481922)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 9.2 km² (3.5 mi²). 5.5 km² (2.1 mi²) of it is land and 3.6 km² (1.4 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 39.44% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 12,910 people, 5,480 households, and 3,255 families residing in the city. The population density is 2,329.2/km² (6,023.2/mi²). There are 8,009 housing units at an average density of 1,445.0/km² (3,736.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 77.10% White, 2.94% African American, 0.19% Native American, 7.45% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 9.37% from other races, and 2.93% from two or more races. 17.14% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 5,480 households out of which 23.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.5% are married couples living together, 12.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 40.6% are non-families. 33.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 14.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.35 and the average family size is 3.02.
