The municipality Vennesla is situated in Vest-Agder county, Norway, about 17 km north of Kristiansand, being the third largest municipality of the county. The municipality consists, since 1964, of the former municipalities of Vennesla, Øvrebø and Hægeland. Vennesla has been inhabited for about 5,000 years.
