Many thanks. I've begun downloaded it. (Now I will have explorer, Netscape, Mozilla and a fourth. I'll be spoiled for choice. :-) STÓD/ÉÍRE 22:08 Apr 1, 2003 (UTC)

And then there were six!!! Heh heh. You wont believe this but I'm, downloading Opera too. Weeeeeee. This is great. I can use Mozilla on Monday (M for M, geddit?) Tuesday I'll go on Safari, Wednesday Camino day. Thursday I can go to the Opera. Friday brings out the explorer in me. And on those bad days, instead of being bitchy to people wiki, I can use Netscape and be bitchy to it instead. (Listen you heap of junk. Load the fucking page down right . . . what the fuck . . . ugly looking heap of crap . . . what the hell are you doing now . . . I said open the damn thing . . . Hi Stephen- I was wondering about the list of photos you wanted taken in Korea. I'm planning my excursions for the summer, so if you can tell me what you need, I'll get on those. - Kim

Hey again. I don't know what legally exists in public domain of the reunification city. I know positively I can't get those photos for you. Journalists seem to, though. Maybe we can get permission from a photojournalist to use their work for the project. - Kim

Stephen - thanks for the warm welcome -much appreciated. David Stewart

Canada's Official Name

Hi Stephen, you've shed insights into the Canadian anthem, perhaps you could help this out: we're unsure whether Canada's present official name is The Dominion of Canada or not. S~ee its Talk page. It's not a debate. Just need to get the info accurate --Menchi 17:56 May 8, 2003 (UTC)

Hi Stephen --

Yep, it's me. don't know how long I'll be back for -- Until it gets too tiresome, I guess. I think it took less than 12 hours for the last onslaught by the (as far as I can tell) French Canadian NAtionalist Brigade to take offense. So, my promise to myself after missing a couple all-too-rare PNW sunny days, is to just walk away if I find myself lured in. In the meantime, I hope to get a few things added. Nice to hear from you -- Julie

Hello Stephen and thanks for your link to Greenscan and the message you sent them. It was well thought out. I've been thinking for a long time that Consumerium can't be the only project with this innovation of connecting product identification with knowledge about that product and I'm relieved that the first "competing" project we found was by Adbusters Juho 10:04 17 Jun 2003 (UTC)

Hi Stephen. You are listed as having expressed an opinion on whether or not Daniel C. Boyer should be deleted. Can you please turn that opinion into a formal vote? Go to Talk:Daniel C. Boyer. Thanks. -- Tim Starling 09:52, Aug 2, 2003 (UTC)

Hi Stephen, thank you for nice welcome. To answer your quistion I must say: Yes :) I contribute to polish wikipedia even much more than here. I regret but my english is too weak to make valuable contribution in english.

re: press runs, relevancy and the ODP

No, I'm really not worthy of an article! I wasn't trying to show off or anything, I was just pointing out that merely publishing something wasn't a very good indicator of whether you should be in, however large that print run might be. It's really funny that two people have suggested I should be though! Thanks for all your work on the ODP page - the new version looks great. Angela 10:09, 20 Aug 2003 (UTC)

Has ODP been NPOV'd?

There doesn't seem to have been much activity on the Open Directory Project article, so I was wondering if it is fixed now and if the NPOV dispute notice can be taken down. Paullusmagnus 20:44, 15 Oct 2003 (UTC)

Open Directory Project Article Reverted and Protected

The Open Directory Project article has been reverted to Liftarn's version and the page has been protected. Liftarn has also reported me as a "problem user." I'd appreciate any advice you might be able to give on how I should proceed. -- NetEsq 17:16, 7 Nov 2003 (UTC)

Thanks

HAHA I just saw that you added my Wikipedia logo to Wikipedia:Logos_and_slogans about a year ago. Thanks. :) I remember when I made that, I was in my early days of experimenting with Paint Shop Pro and other such programs. It's amazing, however, how my logo has managed to find its way onto it.wikipedia.org and was also at the top of Meta-Wikipedia for a while. - Mark Ryan 14:54, 2 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Data Management Wiki Committee

Thank you for your contribution to one, or more, articles that are now organized under Data management.

Because of your previous intrest, you are recieving an invitation to become a founding member of the Data Management Wiki Committee.

The members, of course, will form and solidify the purpose, rules, officers, etc. but my idea (to kick things off) is to establish a group of us who will take responsiblity to see that the ideas of Data management are promoted and well represented in Wikipedia articles.

If you are willing to join the committee, please go to Category_talk:Data_management and indicate your acceptance of this invitation by placing your three tilde characters in the list.

The Humungous Image Tagging Project

Hi. You've helped with the Wikipedia:WikiProject Wiki Syntax, so I thought it worth alerting you to the latest and greatest of Wikipedia fixing project, User:Yann/Untagged Images, which is seeking to put copyright tags on all of the untagged images. There are probably, oh, thirty thousand or so to do (he said, reaching into the air for a large figure). But hey: they're images ... you'll get to see lots of random pretty pictures. That must be better than looking for at at and the the, non? You know you'll love it. best wishes --Tagishsimon (talk)

Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=User_talk:Ram-Man&action=edit&section=new)| talk)

Main namespace cleanup

Heya, I've moved Stephen Gilbert/Contributions to User:Stephen Gilbert/old-Contributions. There's some edit history, so perhaps you want to keep it. Otherwise just delete it (or ask an admin to do so). &#0xfeff;--fvw* 20:41, 2004 Dec 14 (UTC)

Ditto for User:Stephen Gilbert/old-ToDo. --&#0xfeff;--fvw* 20:41, 2004 Dec 14 (UTC)

New ship table template

I've spent the last few days working on a new ship table template to enable us to centralise the editing of things like weapons outfits for a particular class of ships in one template (so with the Fletchers or Gearings or other big classes you only have to edit in one place to alter a mistake rather than in dozens or hundreds). Please have a look at the WikiProject Ships page's talk section and see what you think. I haven't written the instructions for using it yet, and I want to see whether there are any table cells people would like me to include that aren't present yet. There are two example tables, one with all the optional cells present, and the other with some excluded. David Newton 14:04, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)
