Did you actually talk to Waniek? How can I talk to him. I would like to talk to him now that I went to so much effort to defend him from the trolls. Lirath Q. Pynnor
- Plato my apologies for using your talk page, but Waniek's address and phone number can be found very easily on the internet. Just do a whois search. theresa knott 00:57, 7 Apr 2004 (UTC)
No i didn't talk to Waniek, I talked to my Eye Doctor named Dr. William T. Janz, he heard of Waniek though and was quite angry that Theresa would censor the article Comrade Nick
- You doctor was actually angry about it? Wow! For your information I listed it on VfD to let the community decide. If I wanted to be a censor I could have just deleted it myself. If the vote is to keep that's the last I will say on the matter. It's really up to the community. Oh I've just had a thought - are you for real, or are you just playing with lir here? theresa knott 00:57, 7 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Ah, well -- Im gonna go home now. Lirath Q. Pynnor
Well me and my eye doctor are on your side! comrade Nick
yay! sadly, fighting the cabal is just too much work. Lirath Q. Pynnor

- There is no cabal. —67.69.189.172 21:54, 6 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Lol, Ed, mav, and Erik are at the top of the cabal. Everyone knows that. Lirath Q. Pynnor

Plato, thanks for the offer of the barnstar but I am trying to tone down my political statements for awhile (until after finals) to stay off the radar but I do still plan to fight mcarthyism whenever encountered. When I get some time I plan to start a new campaign against some of the current tactics used to silence opposition, which I hope you and others will assist me in. thanks. GrazingshipIV 01:05, Apr 7, 2004 (UTC)
I was asking you to discuss naming conventions dispassionately, that's all. I wasn't commenting on the merits of your "opinions" or those of Hector. 172 08:25, 10 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Medals of Honor
I dare not say to whom you offered a hero's welcome, but I do want to acknowledge that my observation of your support elsewhere for contributors wounded in action while donating service far above and beyond the call of duty is sufficient to prompt a few hours of experienced and tenacious service from this blood-stained soldier. You might consider pursuing additional training as a field medic if this sort of service interests you. Trolling motor 19:30, 10 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Clearing old stuff saved on disk
You should archive old talk, not delete it (the history is insufficient because it is inconvenient. See the wikipedia policies and guidelines regarding talk pages. Kevin Baas 19:47, 17 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Ask me if I care? Comrade Nick
- You should consider reading the Wikipedia:Talk Etiquette FAQ:
- Can I blank my talk page whenever I want?
- While there's no hard-and-fast rule that says you can't, however many people will suspect that you are trying to hide something or ignore other contributors if you do it too often. Most users do archive their talk pages periodically to a personal subpage -- either when the page gets too large, on a regular schedule, or when they take a wikivacation.
- Can I blank my talk page whenever I want?
- In short, blanking your talk page makes you look Sneaky and Bad. It may give the impression that you're trying to cover something up. This does not help your cause. - Fennec 13:02, 20 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- You should consider reading the Wikipedia:Talk Etiquette FAQ:
Red Faction activities
Your activity under the banner of the "Red Faction", particularly the "award" for a "sysop of the week", seems to be in violation of the no personal attacks policy. I suggest that you desist this practice immediately, for it does not help your cause, and is likely to get you censured, at the very least. - Fennec 16:37, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- I understand i'll stop--Comrade Nick 02:06, 29 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- You asked on my talk page why I was on you about this. Well, I was talking with Pakaran in the IRC channel, and he mentioned it. I just wanted to prevent you from doing something stupid- because there are already enough stupid things to deal with on Wikipedia, and because I don't like to see people doing stupid things and shooting themselves in the foot. When that happens, nobody wins. -Fennec 04:11, 29 Apr 2004 (UTC)
To answer your question re Pinochet: Yes, US/CIA involvement is a hot issue, with differing views. Regardless of any individual's POV, the article should present all sides without prejudice. A few of us had been hashing out how to do that, and were pretty close to consensus, giving light note of the controversy in the intro and having an extensive "CIA" section with detail. But then 172 showed up, deleted the intro entirely, and replaced it with his own, taking out most of the information, using sentence fragments, and, worst, flatly asserting his POV on the US issue, asserting without qualification that the coup was "United States-backed". He reverted every effort by several users to modify even one word of it. Meanwhile, Eloquence and me continued to work on a compromise, which 172 refused to acknowledge. Users have tried to talk to him without fruit. At this point, his behavior basically meets the dictionary definition of an Internet troll; he is getting the attention he apparently seeks. -- VV 06:26, 29 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Wik's hate list is pretty funny; there's almost no enemy he hasn't made. And I'm called a "FOX POV pusher"! I get this astoundingly ignorant accusation from 172 and Secretlondon too ("FOX News crowd" as they put it, since naturally Rupert Murdoch is the source of all non-communist views), even though I don't even have a television. -- VV 07:13, 29 Apr 2004 (UTC)
