Martin, why did you delete your votes from the 172 page? Though you've resigned, your existing votes still stand. I won't revert you if you want to keep them gone, but I'd really appreciate if you could re-add them, as that means that's another vote I don't have to find for those proposals to pass. Ambi 14:12, 5 Jan 2005 (UTC)

I'm no longer keeping up with the relevant cases, so it makes more sense for my votes to be wiped, as circumstances may change.
Best of luck in getting the vots you want. Martin 14:39, 5 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Any interest in Emperor Norton?

Martin, hi. Long time no see. <smiley>

I've been involved in a bit of debate around Joshua A. Norton and some recent edits on it. As the users directly involved have reached an impasse, we're looking for outside input. I respect your opinion, and if you have the time and inclination to drop by and contribute any thoughts, I'd be grateful, even if your opinion turns out not to agree with mine.

Either way, Happy New Year, and I hope you're doing very well.

Herschelkrustofsky/Lyndon LaRouche

Martin, can you help regarding a query about the Talk:Lyndon LaRouche and Talk:Political views of Lyndon LaRouche archives? Going through the archives recently, I noticed material was missing, in particular this discussion [1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3ALyndon_LaRouche%2FJewish_issues&diff=5379804&oldid=5302397) about LaRouche's alleged Holocaust denial. I checked further through the histories of the Talk pages, and noticed that a lot of material was moved from the Talk pages by Herschelkrustofsky ("retired" as he called it), which then didn't seem to turn up in the general archives. Some did, some didn't; the material that did is out of context, dates are missing, and so on. I've asked him about this, and he said it was your idea to move issues once they had been resolved, but it seems to me that this is not an answer to the question - it's legitimate to move things for clarification sake, but not legitimate to move them in order to hide them (which is what he seems to have done). However, I don't want to jump to conclusions because the archives are now quite complex, and after checking diffs for hours, my head is beginning to spin.

Would you mind taking a look at the discussion at Talk:Political views of Lyndon LaRouche#Herschelkrustofsky's archiving in case you can shed any light on the matter? Sorry to trouble you with this. Best, SlimVirgin 01:55, Jan 13, 2005 (UTC)

Celebrity deathmatch

Re your post on H2G2: I suggest that the event, if it gets organized, be held in Gdansk. JamesMLane 07:25, 12 Feb 2005 (UTC)

The missing LaRouche material

Hi Martin, thanks for your reponse about the missing LaRouche material about his alleged Holocaust denial [2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3ALyndon_LaRouche%2FJewish_issues&diff=5379804&oldid=5302397) which you said can be found at Talk:Lyndon LaRouche/Jewish issues. but it was me who recently restored it to this archive when I found it had been deleted. It had not, in fact, been placed there by Herschelkrustofksy. I realize you have no personal knowledge of this, but I was wondering if you could shed light on what the general archiving practises were at that time, and why Herschel was allowed to remove things and move discussions out of context. The archives are in a complete mess as a result; a lot is missing; the rest is not in chronological order; and Talk:Lyndon LaRouche/fullarchive is nowhere near complete. And I should add that it's material that is critical of LaRouche that is missing. When I asked Herschel about this, he said I should ask you. Not that I think you know, but I'm going through the process of asking because this is possibly an ArbCom matter, and so I have to assume there may be an innocent explanation on Herschel's part. Any light you can shed on any of it would be most welcome. All the best, SlimVirgin 18:49, Jan 15, 2005 (UTC)

Just spotted this on my user page, and moved here. I don't have a clue. HTH.

London Meetup

Martin,

I've been bold and suggested Easter Saturday (26th of March) for the next London Meetup; your input would be great.

I know that you've been a bit busy of late, but I'd love to see you there,

Bring back quickpolls

I think it's time that quickpolls be re-evaluated as a solution to short term disputes between users. What say you? --Ryan! | Talk 05:19, Mar 11, 2005 (UTC)

correction

In Talk:ODP there is a section about ODPSS. The second bullet point has a typo in the acronym. (FYI, I am an ODP meta as well; I have been with the project since late 1998.) Just wanted to let you know about this. Thanks!

Hi

What kind of journey are you on here on earth? Just wondering from up here in Maine. Caught your stuff surfing wiki info. I am moved/impressed. Peace to you. Tombarnes1@verizon.net

the issue of school articles

In November 2003, you participated in a VfD debate over Sunset High School (Portland). The debate was archived under Talk:Sunset High School (Portland). The issue over this article remains contested. moreover, there still does not exist a wikipedia policy (as far as i can tell) over what to do in regards to articles about specific U.S. public school. The article in question has been re-nominated for VfD at Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Sunset High School (Portland). My hope is that a real consensus can come out of the debate, and a real policy can take shape. Take part if you are so willing. Kingturtle 02:12, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC) P.S. The history of the debate can also be reviewed and discussed at Are high schools encyclopedic? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Votes_for_deletion/Precedents#Are_high_schools_encyclopedic.3F_-_Yes).

Show cats and genetic health problems

I noticed that you have edited a section of the article show cat regarding the frequency of serious health problems in purebred cats. There is currently a discussion on the talk page about this section as to weather the article should state that this is a problem (the position I have taken) or weather the article should state that this is a misconception which is not true. Your input would we appreciated.
