Hello and welcome to Wikipedia!
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- If you haven't already, please add your name to the new user log to let others know a little about yourself.
- Read the article describing how to edit a page and feel free to experiment in the Sandbox.
- When editing pages, use the preview button before submitting and try to fill in the summary box for every edit.
- Eventually, read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk or ask me on my talk page.
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!

P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
Whaley House
Sorry about having to list Whaley House as a possible copyright infringement. It's just that when a new user starts posting material that appears on another web site, the overwhelming percentage of the time it's a copyright violation. The page is now restored.
I'm assuming that the creator of the page, User:68.92.125.119, was you before creating a username. You may want to request a change of attribution for the edits, although that tends to take a while. It takes developer access, and there aren't many of them.
You may also want to take a look at the work done by JCarriker, who has displayed quite an interest in the Marshall, Texas area. -- Cyrius|✎ 05:13, May 12, 2004 (UTC)
- Not a problem, it was a reasonable assumption the text was merely ripped off, giving the odds and the lack of a proper username. Yes, 68.92.*.* was me, but it does hardly matter /who/ provides the content, as long as the facts are correct and nobody's rights have been infringed upon. I did notice JCarriker's work, and as I'm learning the Wikipedia syntax, I'm sure I will be able to contact him through the page pretty soon ;) -- Kar98 11:01, 12 May 2004 (UTC)
- Hephaestos has nominated the Marshall article to be a featured article. Pleasevote on the nomination.
