WhisperToMe on Shonen Jump

Hey JoshG.

Please do not change circumflexes to macrons in romanizations related to and of the following manga/anime:

 • Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z
 • Hikaru no Go
 • Naruto
 • One Piece
 • Sandland
 • Shaman King
 • YuYu Hakusho
 • Yu-Gi-Oh!

Viz's Shonen Jump deliberately uses circumflexes instead of macrons. WhisperToMe 02:43, 30 Jun 2004 (UTC)

re:話す

hanasu - to speak

Odd that that isn't the first thing to come up since -su is the form they use for verbs in Japanese dictionaries...

Shodo images

Hi. I wrote, photographed, and uploaded the images in question. What more information is needed? Exploding Boy 19:25, Aug 16, 2004 (UTC)

Kanna's Kanji

I fixed Kanna's Kanji on your user page. For some reason when I first wrote the article, I must have used Naraku's Kanji (奈落) for Kanna instead. 神無 is the correct Kanji, and I fixed this in the article. -- EmperorBMA|話す 09:08, 12 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Template:InuyashaCharacter

Since you created it, could you explain to me what the purpose of Template:InuyashaCharacter is? If it's only to save some typing the phase "is a character in the anime...", it seems superfluous to me. --Twinxor 02:50, 23 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Romanization after Kanji

It does seem redundant, but I want to a. Show how the names are read in Japanese, esp. for people like Kagome who have surnames, and b. When I decide to take out the macrons from the consistent references of InuYasha characters, the macron forms will show the reader how the name is pronounced. WhisperToMe 00:13, 20 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Other manga scans that need to be straightened and cropped

If you want to fix some pictures, there are two other pics of manga that need straightening and cropping...

Apparantly any user can give a barnstar to any other, and I present this to you for your help with the InuYasha page! You have provided all sorts of good screenshots, and you were the first one into the fray when I nominated InuYasha for Featured Article. You've earned it!

Reference towards the jewel

I felt that showing all three names of the jewel at once at each page would reduce confusion, which is why I opted for that. If you feel your solution is a better way to reference to it, you may go ahead with that :) WhisperToMe 15:58, 23 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Phoenix Image

I got the Aberdeen Bestiary phoenix from my hard drive. I have spent years surfing the net and downloading every image of medieval art I could find. I am very carefull to record the manuscript source for my images. However, I don't record the URLs. But, I looked and I had a detail of the phoenix image. I uploaded it here. Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=User_talk:Ram-Man&action=edit&section=new)| talk)

To answer your quick question: Anonymous contributions are copyrightable under U.S. copyright law. They have a smaller term of copyright than non-anonymous works, but they are still copyrightable. That's why trying to relicense Wikipedia would be too great of a headache to ever bother trying unless it was absolutely required. Later! User:Ram-Man 16:03, Dec 22, 2004 (UTC)

relocation of the seiyu category

I've incorporated the move into my recent edits of certain existing seiyu articles; so as of right now, the number of such articles needing relocation is now fewer than 180 and will likely whittle down even more by the time you can start editing again...Ranma9617 07:42, 12 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Disney Logos

Yeah sure, I've just uploaded all of the Disney resort logos so I'm just adding the tags now. Thanks for reminding me though! User:Speedway 12:23, 31 Dec 2004

Licensing

Hi, any pictures which I've stated as taken by me are dual licensed under GFDL and CC; I try to mention the source of all the images I upload, but I may have forgotten some. ;) Thanks, Mark1 03:03, 4 Jan 2005 (UTC)

OS-tan pictures

I'm not sure if I should reply under my talk page or your talk page. That's why I post it here again.

The images of Firefox-ko and Thunderbird-ko (edited and uploaded by me) were obtained from [1] (http://cornervalley.net/rnote.php?u=illust/cg/040829.htm) and [2] (http://cornervalley.net/rnote.php?u=illust/cg/040901.htm) respectively. I don't understand Japanese. But from the translation by Altavista, it should be ok to use them as long as it is not for profit: "And clearly writing the fact that they are processed ones, it can release and can distribute those which reprinting, it distributed and processed only non profit-making purpose. The writer (the ろ or the ろ) it is not necessary to state name. It is not possible without obtaining my permission, to use those which it processed for profit-making purpose. Those which it processed the writer (the ろ or the ろ) it is not possible with name to release and to distribute and." .I'm sorry but I can't find the source of Outlook one now.minghong 12:09, 6 Jan 2004

InuYasha Character Template

regarding why i moved sota to the end is because he's a character that appears in modern times, so i thought it would be fitting to put him and hojo at the end, for they are both from the present. That's all. LG-犬夜叉 22:39, Jan 13, 2005 (UTC)

InuYasha Anime Episode List

Hey:

I can see why you saw that sentence as POV, but in truth, the fan subbed titles are generally equal or better than the official English dubbed version by Viz.

I understand most of the Jap titles for the ones i saw(up to episode 155), and many times the English titles just don't quite cut it. Another thing is that they have the voice of InuYasha announcing each title, where as in the original Japan version, a different guy(probably a also a minor character in the series) does all the announcing, which i think is the better choice as well. Inuyasha Theme Songs

Are you finished merging the stuff from this article into InuYasha media and release information? I'vd closed the VfD discussion on the "theme song" article, but I didn't want to delete it if you're still processing the merge. Joyous 18:12, Jan 29, 2005 (UTC)

Spirited Away

I'm not sure what happened there, but the edit is definitely not mine. Possibly someone else's edit has disappeared and they disagreed with the section. I've readded the removed stuff. Xezbeth 05:53, Feb 9, 2005 (UTC)

Copywrite question

If Google and other websites can display images without any copywrite status, then why can't Wikipedia? JarlaxleArtemis 00:51, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Tessaiga

I will get back to you regarding this topic as soon as possible. LG-犬夜叉 10:49, Feb 18, 2005 (UTC)

Well, so I looked at the link you provided.
I think what you guys came up with was an inconclusive discussion. No concrete "policy" or "rule" was determined.
However, if I may, I would like to reason that for the English-speaking populations, when they hear "Tessaiga", they will definitely spell the word as Tessaiga, and not Tetsusaiga.
As to the published manga by Viz, I have not read them. It could be that the people who have read the manga did not see the English dubbed version of the anime, and thus will have little idea of what the word is supposed to be pronounced as. For the people who have seen the anime, I think it is proper to say that Tessaiga is becoming the accepted word.
I believe the reason for Viz sticking with their original mistake is to stay consistent. However, I think that on Wiki, the importance of staying consistent AND correct is essential.
Another point I wanted to say was that it does not look very professional when you have a note saying "properly romanized as such and such and such" on every page it appears.
Maybe it's time we take a look at the subject again. LG-犬夜叉 01:10, Feb 19, 2005 (UTC)
Sounds good. I'll probably post what I wrote here as a starting point...but that'll have to wait until Tuesday... -___- midterms! LG-犬夜叉 03:16, Feb 19, 2005 (UTC)
I have posted a request to revisit this topic at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style (Japan-related_articles)

Return of the Untagged Image project

You were kind enough to contribute to the Wikipedia:Untagged images project; I beg to draw your attention to part 2 of the project - there are about 12,000 more images in need of tagging. Any assistance you could provide would be most welcome. thanks --Tagishsimon (talk)

InuYasha and the Article Improvement Drive

 • Me again. I was thinking about nominatiing the InuYasha page for the WP:AID, and I was wondering what you thought of the idea. The AID is a sort of intermediate step between the COTW and FAC; they've already done Duck and Cover, so as a media candidate it's not out of the question. -Litefantastic 17:37, 21 Mar 2005 (UTC)
 • Just wanted to drop by and say thanks for the changes to Tessaiga from Tetsusaiga. Maybe using a bot for these systematic corrections could save some time =]. Other than that, nice work. LG-犬夜叉 04:13, Mar 22, 2005 (UTC)

Another book scan picture correction request

I scanned a book cover for Case Closed volume 1 (at Image:CaseClosedmanga.JPG) - Please correct this image :) WhisperToMe 04:25, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Time and again

 • I was wondering if I could use your 'timeline' from the InuYasha page on the InuYasha wikicity. Since the license you rgistered it under doesn't specifically say I can do that, I figured I should ask. -Litefantastic 18:04, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)
