Welcome
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Follow the Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
Hi! Are you from London? That's where I'm from...I see that you want to have some pictures of London on Wikipedia, which is a great idea. If I had a camera, there would be some already...oh well. Well, welcome to Wikipedia, and have fun editing! Adam Bishop 20:20, 21 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Unverified images
- Hi! Thanks for uploading the following image:
Image:Effects_of_improb_Drive.PNG
I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GNU Free Documentation License, {{PD-self}} if you wish to release your own work to the public domain, {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know at my talk page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much. Peter O. (Talk, automation script) 05:51, Dec 25, 2004 (UTC)
P.S. You can help tag other images at User:Yann/Untagged_Images. Thanks again.
- Would you be kind enough to update Image:Alouette-1.jpeg as to its source and copyright status? Thanks. —Vespristiano 18:42, 6 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Damn you wikipedians are really anal about those image tags :P. -Æ
