Note: please direct enquiries re: my User:El_C or User:Instantnood advocacies to their appropriate subsets of the talk page.
After having the same idiot-ass message up for quite some time, I figured it was time to write a bit that was new.
I'm a decently content resident of St. Petersburg, Florida (yes, there is a relation to the one in Russia). I originally hail from Stamford, Connecticut. Members of my family went to high school with Joe Lieberman, which thus far is the closest we've ever come to power. Incidentally, I supported Dennis Kucinich in the 2004 Democratic primary campaign, as a good pinko should.
My hobbies on Wikipedia include the peerage, political science in general, history of all sorts (especially military, American, European, and British). This, I suppose, reflects a Western bias I have growing up in a Western country. I endeavor to rise above this, however.
Additionally, I owe Wikipedia my interest in a good many areas to which I was not previously introduced; these include sociology, constitutional law, voting systems and the politics of Australia, Canada, Ireland and France. A sincere thank you is needed to all those who have contributed to the various articles in these sections, as you've done a smashing job.
Any questions or comments you'd like to toss at me can be dropped on my talk page, especially regarding the assassin or fascism pages (the former which I fixed up a while back, and am proud was made a featured article, and the latter which I have been collaborating to try to normalize and improve). I highly doubt you'll have to compete for space; despite several months residence I seem to be enough of a newbie to still have UtherSRG's "Shit that needs fixing" page. In the highly-unlikely event I become someone important whose Midas touch on a page is requested, that can be sent to the talk page, too. I can additionally be contacted there for any concerns regarding requests for advocate services, should they be needed.
I've finally got down the [[link|way you want the link to look]] thing! Now if only I could make sense of the PeerNavBox...
