I do wish everyone were merely excited about this ongoing change, and not at all disgruntled. An overabundance of politeness, self-deprecation, and willingness to be imposed upon -- or an extreme self-conscious reluctance to make use of the power one has, regardless of the unanimity of support for use of such power -- are the only ways I know of to avoid the negative projections and distractions of a kitchen full of cooks. There may be faster transitions from "many hands making light work" (no kitchen at all; friendly anarchy) to "a well-oiled, bustling kitchen" (well-prepared kitchen; friendly, efficient division of labor)... if you know of one, please comment here or drop me a line.
