Here's a bit about my background: professional designer (retired), interested in history, but I Am Not A Historian. It's proving entertaining investigating areas of interest and summarising what's found, keeps the old brain from rusting up. The following articles I've contributed to give an indication of interests..

start: dark ages and prehistory
This all started with looking up information on kilts for a friend, which led to browsing the History of Scotland and finding that my home area was claimed to be Anglo-saxon in the wake of the Romans. Having filled in a school questionaire on perceived ethnic background as Votadini (to my son's embarrasment) investigations led to edits being contributed to Votadini and hence Gododdin, then back to sort out that part of the History of Scotland.
The prehistoric section needed some work, and by the time I'd done that there was enough information for a new page on prehistoric Scotland, a need to contribute edits to ], Edinburgh, Eilean Domhnuill, Old King Cole, Traprain Law and Unstan ware, also new articles on Barnhouse Settlement, Knap of Howar Stones of Stenness, Cramond, Dun, Cairnpapple Hill, Eildon hill, Howick house, Sand, Applecross, Traprain Law,
