Advaita in Sanskrit means non-dualism , A usually denotes negative sense and Dvaita means Dualism. It is also sometimes called monism. The principal advocate of Advaita was Sri Adi Sankara. The principal tenet of the philosophy is the proclamation that there are no two entities in the Universe. Everything perceived as dual in the world is the result of Maya or illusion.
It is one of the three famous philosophies of Advaita,Dvaita and Vishishta Advaita.
According to this philosophy there never can be Two of any kind. It is just that our mind is playing tricks on us by telling that there are different things in this world. At the outset it may seem to be very difficult to comprehend, and probably will seem highly improbable.
