A bishonen—pretty boy—is a concept common in Japanese popular culture, and as such doesn't fit me at all. It's confusing because I'm female, for one thing, and occasionally I go by Bishojo, pretty girl, on IRC, to clarify matters... only it doesn't really, as the "pretty" part doesn't fit very well either. I picked "Bishonen" for the sound and because of Momus' song, and personal associations like that. OK, it was silly, but I still like it.
Alternative spellings: bishōnen, bishounen
The lists below are fitful, they're just some items I like to have on lists. Removing lots of promotespeak from advert-type articles is something I enjoy doing, though I hope I don't take sadistic pleasure in it. Well, I suppose I do, really. I also translate from the Scandinavian languages, and from really simple French and German, and nitpick at other people's translations and other texts. I'll copyedit for you if you want me to.
I'm a klutz with wiki markup and all technical stuff, but I know I am, so I nearly always preview. I'm a very slow editor, slow typist, terrible (though persistent) IRCer, you need patience to talk with me.
To get mushy and disgusting, I'm so lucky to have great friends on Wikipedia. Some of them have as you see below taken a generous pleasure in showering this page with lovely awards, and "awards", from the ridiculous to the merely undeserved. Please feel free to rearrange them, if anything looks bad on your screen!

No regrets personally, as I made some great new friends, but I'm very sorry feelings were bruised on both sides. (Also sorry Giano wasn't around to get a few of his trademark evil chuckles out of it.)
- Shakespeare's reputation, incomplete, as I'm not an expert in 400 years of world literary history. I'm actually a little tired of catching "Who's responsible for this outrage" flak on missing aspects—international reception, 20th century—so please look at my "to do" list on the talk page and try to help rather than complain, it's a wiki.
- The Country Wife, complete rewrite, updating existing 1911 EB article by 100 years or so, Featured article.
