Today it is one of the United Kingdom's leading universities, ranking consistently within the top twenty universities in major UK league tables. As of 2005, it is ranked 12th overall in the Guardian university guide and 13th overall in the Times (Source (http://www.bath.ac.uk/news/articles/campus/timestable270505.html)). Bath is a member of the 1994 Group of UK universities, a group with common aims, standards and values. The business school is accredited by the elite AMBA. The University of Bath has declared its intention to become an elite university (in terms of quality, not exclusivity), with particular strengths including postgraduate teaching.
