In Canada, the "United Alternative" was a movement from the late 1990s to the year 2000 to unite the Reform Party of Canada with the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada as a whole, and with conservative activists individually, into one unnamed party. While the PC Party did not initially join, the UA movement led to the 2000 creation of the Canadian Alliance, which would merge with the PCs in 2003 to form the Conservative Party of Canada.
