United States Highway 127 is a north-south United States highway. In Michigan, US-127 nearly tripled in length in 2002 — at the expense of its own parent, US-27.

Termini
As of 2004, the highway's northern terminus is a few miles south of Grayling, Michigan, at an intersection with I-75. Its southern terminus is in the Chattanooga, Tennessee suburb of Red Bank at an intersection with US-27.

The highway passes through the following states:
Michigan
As of 2004, the route is approximately 215 miles (346 km) long, after the US-127 designation replaced all of US-27 north of Lansing that year. In Michigan, US-127 runs from the Ohio border south of Hudson north to the junction with I-75, which is four miles (6 km) south of Grayling.
Prior to 2002, US-127 ran from I-69 north of East Lansing down to the Ohio border near Hudson, a total of 83 miles (134 km).
The highway is the primary route connecting Lansing and central Michigan to Northern Michigan and the Mackinac Bridge. It serves the cities of Hudson, Jackson, East Lansing, St. Johns, Alma, Mount Pleasant, Clare, and Houghton Lake. North of Jackson, it is mostly a four-lane expressway.
From the Ohio border until Jackson, the highway follows the course (with minor deviations) of the prime meridian used to survey Michigan in the early 19th century.
Ohio
Serves rural communities along the extreme western edge of Ohio before entering Cincinnati through its northwestern suburbs.
Kentucky
Cosigned with US 42 through Cincinnati's Northern Kentucky suburbs until five miles west of Warsaw, then passing south through Owenton, Frankfort, bypassing Lawrenceburg, Harrodsburg and Danville, veering south-southwest toward Lake Cumberland and crossing into Tennessee in Clinton County.
Tennessee
Serves rural areas in eastern Middle Tennessee and western East Tennessee, including Crossville, then past Signal Mountain and ending at its junction with US 27 on the west side of Chattanooga.
