Ty Treadway (b. 11 February 1967) is an American actor and Emmy-nominated talk show host.
Before becoming an actor he worked as an accountant and computer engineer in New Jersey.
He worked as a model in New York and landed some commercials before being cast as the evil Dr. Colin MacIver on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live in 2000. Although the character was popular among fans a storyline involving a murder mystery forced writers to kill off Colin in 2001.
In a soap opera cliché, Colin had an identical twin brother, also a doctor, named Troy. Treadway played Troy from 2001 until 2003 and returned to the show for the November sweeps that same year, staying until shortly into 2004. During this hiatus he read for a role of Passions.
In 2002 the American cable network SOAPnet launched a soap opera talk show called SoapTalk and Treadway became a co-host along with Lisa Rinna. He and Rinna received a Daytime Emmy nomination for outstanding talk show host alongside such shows as Live with Regis and Kelly, The View and Dr. Phil. Ultimately, they lost to Wayne Brady.
In 2004, Treadway and Rinna hosted a TV special that pre-empted The View for one day during the 2004 summer Olympics called SOAPnet Reveals ABC Soap Secrets. This special gave scoops about what was going to happen in the near future on All My Children, General Hospital and One Life to Live. ABC commissioned this special in an attempt to keep their daytime Nielsen Ratings up during the Olympic season. Statistically soap operas lose ten percent of their viewership in Olympic years.
Treadway and Rinna received their second Emmy nomination in 2005.
Treadway has long been active in bodybuilding and often has a "Ty Training" segment on Soap Talk. In 1994 he won the "Mr. Natural Pennsylvania" bodybuilding title.
