Turntable

A turntable is any rotating platform:
- a phonograph (or the platter of), for playing phonograph records (often utilised by hip hop DJs to play and mix or "scratch" vinyl records, such as a 45-RPM EP, see turntablism)
- a device used at some railroad facilities to turn a locomotive or other rolling stock around, or onto one of several radially arranged rail tracks (a rotary transfer table), see: turntable (railroad) and also: [1] (http://tmbphotos.tripod.com/trains/)
- a potter's wheel or pottery wheel, used for spinning wet pottery into a more perfectly round shape
- a lazy susan, used on a tabletop so that items on it (such as food) can reached from any position (such as by seated diners)
