Triumph of the Nerds: The Rise of Accidental Empires is a documentary film written and hosted by Robert X. Cringely. The three part film first premiered on PBS in June 1996. The film explores the rise of technology companies such as Apple Computer and Microsoft, and includes interviews with company founders such as Bill Gates and Steve Jobs.
In 1998, a related documentary, Nerds 2.0.1: A Brief History of the Internet, also created by Cringely, premiered on PBS.
