Trevor Belmont

Trevor Belmont (Ralph C. Belmont in Japan) is a vampire hunter that lived during the 15th century in the video game series Castlevania. He has only starred in a single Castlevania game.

After the events that took place during Castlevania Legends with Sonia Belmont, the Belmont family was banished from Wallachia when the people began to fear the power they possessed, as if it made the whole village a target of evil's rage.

However, evil struck again when Count Dracula started terrorizing the people once again. At the time, the people immediately searched out the most current Belmont family member, which turned out to be Trevor Belmont. Many of the village people considered Sonia to be only a legend, and thought Trevor to be the first Belmont. This is likely because the Vampire Killer whip was not passed down to Trevor by Sonia, but instead given to him by the Poltergeist King.

Trevor would have hardly any help, but the help he got during his quest would come from three people that he would meet on the way. They are Alucard Tepes, Grant DaNasty, and Sypha Belnades. With their help, Trevor would fulfill the Belmont legacy once again and defeat the evil Dracula.

Family relations

Trevor is hinted to be the son of Sonia Belmont and Alucard in the (formerly canonical) Castlevania Legends.

It is stated that Trevor has a son by the name of Jacob Belmont, who in turn could be the father to Christopher Belmont. However, Jacob hasn't starred in (or been named in) any of the games, so his name may be inaccurate.

In the Captain N: The Game Master cartoon, during the episode "Return To Castlevania", Trevor Belmont is the great-grandfather to Simon Belmont. However, this could not be correct according to the Castlevania games, as Trevor Belmont existed over 200 years before Simon, which would make him more like the great great great grandfather.
