Travis (from left to right): Andy Dunlop, Neil Primrose, Francis Healy, and Dougie Payne
Travis is a Scottish rock band, comprising Andy Dunlop (Guitar), Francis Healy (Vocals and guitar), Dougie Payne (Bass and on some B-Side tracks vocals) and Neil Primrose (drums). The band is named after the main character in the movie "Paris, Texas", directed by Wim Wenders.

Their hits include "Driftwood", "Sing", "Turn", "Side", and festival favourite "Why Does It Always Rain On Me?". "More Than Us" was their turnaround single, which left British indie music lovers in anticipation for their forthcoming, inevitably successful release The Man Who. They made headlines on both sides of the Atlantic in 2002 when performing a cover of Britney Spears' single "Hit Me Baby (One More Time)" live at the Glastonbury festival. The song is featured as a B-side on their single "Turn".

In the movie by Wenders, Travis is played by Harry Dean Stanton; he is an almost silent man who wanders out of the desert with no memory of his past life, is found by his brother, who reunites him with the family he left behind and helps him come to terms with his past.

The band almost split in 2002 when Primrose was involved in a swimming accident and almost died due to spinal damage. He has since made a full recovery.
