A bus service Srinagar (India controlled, Jammu and Kashmir) - Muzaffarabad (Pakistan controlled, Azad Kashmir, part of what India calls PoK), with one bus service every two weeks, at the same time in both directions, opened on 7 April 2005. There is tight security. The Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC) operates on the Indian side, and Pakistani buses on the Pakistani side; passengers get off at Kaman Bridge (destroyed in 1947 and now rebuilt and renamed Aman Setu, i.e. Peace Bridge), cross the Line of Control (Indian Kashmir barrier) on foot, and continue their journey after boarding buses on the other side of the bridge. There were two buses on each side. [1] (http://www.the-week.com/25mar27/currentevents_article3.htm)
There are threats against the passengers of the second service on 21 April.
