- In biology, there are several birds named tit, including the titmice, long-tailed tits, bearded tit and penduline tits.
- Tit, a variant of teat, is a slang (one of the seven dirty words) term for breast or nipple. It is also a term of derision (especially in British English) connoting a silly or irritating person.
- In the Bible, Tit. is an abbreviation for the book Titus; a letter from Paul to the Apostle Titus.
- In mathematics Tits refers to Belgian mathematician Jacques Tits.
