Sir Tim Rice (born November 10, 1944, in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, England, and educated at St Albans School and Lancing College) is a lyricist for musical theater, a radio presenter, television gameshow panelist and an author. He is best known for his collaborations with Andrew Lloyd Webber (having helped create many hit musicals for West End and Broadway theatres), and his work for The Walt Disney Company. Rice was made a Disney Legend by the company in 1998.
He is a co-author of the annual Guinness Book of British Hit Singles. He has also been a frequent guest panelist for many years on the radio panel game Just a Minute.
