The Lakes is a census-designated place (CDP) and unincorporated town located in Murray County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 619. As with other CDP's, the area and population reported for The Lakes are included in the aggregate values reported for townships.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 117.8 km² (45.5 mi²). 92.7 km² (35.8 mi²) of it is land and 25.1 km² (9.7 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 21.29% water.
Demographics
