The Hub

- The Hub is also nickname for the city of Boston, Massachusetts.
The Hub is a "computer network music" ensemble consisting of John Bischoff, Tim Perkis, Chris Brown, Scot Gresham-Lancaster, Mark Trayle and Phil Stone.
The Hub grew from the League of Automatic Music Composers: John Bischoff, Jim Horton, and Rich Gold. Bischoff modified his equipment to allow more musicians and founded The Hub.
They have collaborated with Rova Saxophone Quartet and Alvin Curran.

The Hub in Fallout
The Hub is also one of the major land areas in the game Fallout. The Hub was a collection of merchants and was the major area for trade and business in the desolate land of the post apocalyptic west coast.
The Hub in Discworld
The Hub in the popular comedy/fantasy Discworld series is the centre of the Disc, directions are given Hubwise, toward the centre, or rimwards, toward the edge. There are also the directions turnwise and its opposite, widdershins.
The Hub in Edinburgh
The Hub, at the top of Edinburgh's Royal Mile, is the home of the Edinburgh International Festival, and a central source of information on all the Edinburgh Festivals. It is a former assembly house for the Church of Scotland, and has also served as a church at various points in its history. Its gothic spire - the highest point in central Edinburgh - towers over the surrounding buildings, including the adjacent castle. The inside houses the Hub Cafe; Hub Tickets (http://www.hubtickets.co.uk), the central box office for the International Festival, which also sells tickets for a wide range of other events; a Main Hall with a capacity of 420, used as a venue for concerts and so on; and two smaller venues, the Glass Room and the Dunard Library, suitable for smaller events.
