The Grand Wazoo (1972) is Frank Zappa's first really serious jazz album with very skilled musicians and complex arrangements. The improvisations are astounding and a great learning tool for any musician. It was to be the first of three solid albums in a row including Apostrophe and One Size Fits All. All of these albums contain material that is humorous as well as technically interesting for skilled musicians.
