The Emperor's Club

The Emperor's Club is 2002 motion picture that tells a story of prep school teachers and his students. Based on Ethan Canin's short story "The Palace Thief," the film is directed by Michael Hoffman and stars Kevin Kline.
Its story concerns a student whose teacher deceives him into thinking he is performing better academically than he really is, which ultimately causes him to attain a higher level of achievement. Years later (in the story timeline), the teacher is shown meeting with that student and his classmates (Abraham & Hoffman, 2002).
