Foo Fighters (1995) | The Colour and the Shape (1997) | There Is Nothing Left To Lose (1999) |
The Colour and the Shape is the Foo Fighters' second album. It was released May 20, 1997 through Roswell/Capitol Records.
This album was the debut of the Foo Fighters as a band, as Dave Grohl had recorded almost all of the first Foo Fighters album by himself, but since William Goldsmith left the band during the recording of the album, Grohl ended up playing drums for most of the tracks. Considered one of their finest albums, with such popular songs as "Monkey Wrench" and "Everlong", it reached #3 UK and #10 US. As of June 2005, The Colour And The Shape remains Foo Fighters' biggest US seller, with 1.9 million units sold.
