Apples in Stereo

Apples in Stereo is an indie rock band associated with the innovative Elephant 6 Recording Company, a group of bands also including Neutral Milk Hotel, Secret Square and Olivia Tremor Control. Led by Robert Schneider, the band formed in Denver, Colorado with Jim McIntyre, Robert Parfitt and Hilarie Sidney. Their debut release was 1995's Fun Trick Noisemaker.
Their major influences include The Velvet Underground and The Beach Boys.
Schneider is in many other side bands including Ulysses and Marbles. Sidney, Schneider's divorced wife, sings lead vocals in the side band The High Water Marks.
Apples in Stereo has continued releasing albums throughout the 1990s, and their most recent release is 2002's Velocity of Sound.
