Text Text Revolution is similar in some ways to games like TTYQuake and AAUT, which use ASCII characters to draw the screen for the games Quake and Unreal Tournament. Those games use the aalib library, which draws to the screen in a consistent manner, and can be manipulated similarly to other graphic libraries.
