Templeogue
|
Templeogue (Teach Mealóg in Irish) is a suburb of southwest Dublin City, Ireland. It lies between the suburbs of Terenure, Tallaght and Rathfarnham.
During the 20th Century, Templeogue was comprised mostly of church grounds, in particular for the Holy Ghost Fathers and the Missionaries of Africa (White Fathers). Recently, as a result of the pressures on land due to rapid economic growth around the capital, Dublin, most of these lands have been sold on for residential developments. As a consequence, the population has risen recently.
