Temagami, Ontario

Temagami is a town in northeastern Ontario, Canada, in the District of Nipissing on Lake Temagami.
According to the 2001 Statistics Canada Census:

The community is home to the Finlayson Point Provincial Park, which itself offers access to Lake Temagami. The region is also known for its old growth forests, and has been the site of confrontation between loggers and environmentalists when new logging access roads are built or major logging proposed. Access to old growth tree stands is offered on many local hiking trails. An excellent view of the entire Temagami area is offered by the Temagami Fire Tower, a renovated fire tower that visitors can climb for a small fee.
Keewaydin Canoe Camp is located on Devil's Island in Lake Temagami.
