Tata Young

Tata Young (born Amita Marie Young 14 December 1980 in Thailand) is a string (Thai pop) singer and actress.
Tata is a luk kreung (half Thai and half Caucasian, with an American father). She won a national talent contest at the age of 11, and was given her first professional contract at 14. I Believe (2003) is her first English-language album. The nickname Tata was chosen by her parents who visited India after she was born and liked the name Tata, which is one of India's largest industrial companies (Tata group).

She has acted in 2 films The Red Bicycle (Jakkayan See Daeng), and O-Negative as well as the TV drama The Candle (Plai Tiean).
She sang the English part of the title song for the Bollywood movie, Dhoom Dhoom.
She attended the Bangkok Patana British International School and was in the same year as Indonesian Scottish T-Pop singer Joni Anwar, who is best known for being one-half of the pop duo Raptor.
