Talon light fighter

The Talon light fighter is a very common commercially-available starfighter in the Wing Commander (computer game) universe. Its very large, high mounted wings are strongly dihedraled and carry a heat-seeking missile on each wingtip. Forward it carries two mass drivers and one particle gun. The Talon has thin armor and shields, and can be destroyed by just two image-recognition missiles. Its top speed is 480 km/s, with a maximum afterburner speed of 960, making it one of the faster fighters in Gemini Sector.
The Talon is a workhorse light fighter heavily used by pirates, insurrectionist forces, and sector militia in more cash-strapped regions (sector militia in wealthier regions use the Gladius light fighter).
